Science Fiction Novel
In Search of Home
Status: seeking representationAboard the generation ship Home, there is no outside. There is only a government that rules through scarcity, corporate powers that covertly strip Home of its finite resources, and a radical underground movement that recruits the oppressed into a holy war. The promise of Proxima Centauri B was supposed to make all of it bearable. It hasn't.
Sirius Marin has always stood on the sidelines. His closest friend Ceti, who holds together a fractured family through dangerous work in a world below Sirius's feet, has no such luxury. When his mentor is murdered after uncovering evidence of the theft of Home's critical supplies, Sirius is pulled headlong into something from which he cannot walk away. Together with Ceti, they expose the lies upon which Home is built.
Seeing promise in Ceti, Revolutionary Son's brutal leader Lucas Santos captures them in a bid to make Ceti his puppet Prophet to lead his uprising, and uses his loved ones as leverage — including Sirius. Transported ahead of Home to Proxima B, Sirius finds himself in a world controlled by religious dogma and cruelty, with Ceti at the top and the same powers pulling the strings. Determined to rescue Ceti from his prison as the Prophet, Sirius takes increasingly violent action and is forced to reckon with what he's willing to become to free someone who may no longer want to be freed.
